Living in Monterey we have tons of options for a weekend away but not all of them are kid friendly. Last weekend we spent a few days at Bernardus lodge and spa with our 4-year-old. It was laid back and tons of fun. The lodge catered to adults and kids with ease.
At check-in, the clerk handed our little one a guidebook and name pick full of information on plants around Bernardus Lodge along with some seeds to plant and a color book. Our girl lit up with excitement. She loves to garden with me and couldn’t wait to get out to explore the grounds. It was the cutest.

Overall, Bernardus Lodge and Spa was a great weekend getaway with kids. The welcome cheese and cookies were such a treat and the garden kit and map kept our girl entertained for a full evening. Kid food options were plentiful and the lodge had tons of fun activities set up for little ones. We can’t wait to go back!
