What Is It?
SkinFood USA 1957 is a full skincare line rooted in food-based ingredients. I discovered them through an online Facebook group for Estheticians. One of the girls on their SWORE by the Avocado Moisturizer.
Who Should Use It
If you are worried about limited ingredients, like a lower price point but still keep quality and go through your products quickly. The shelf life is much shorter with these products! So keep that in mind.
What is the texture?
Avocado Moisturizer – Like and smooth. It absorbs quickly while leaving a plump and hydrated look to the skin.
Honey Sugar Food Mask – Thick, sticky, and very occlusive. Surprisingly, this mask applies easily with fingers or a brush and rinses/wipes off very easily.
Black Sugar Mask Wash Off– Thick and grainy. Again, applied easily and washed off easily. I ended up using this in the shower.
Royal Honey Propolis Enrich Essence – This was thicker than a traditional essence and I found it to be kinda sticky when I first applied it but then it isn’t once it fully absorbs.

How does it smell?
All the products smelled like their key ingredient. The Avocado was sweet but light and dissipated quickly.

How Long Did I Use It?
The masks I used about 3 times each. The moisturizer I used nightly for 3 weeks. The essence I use for about a week morning and night.
Where Does It Go In My Routine?
Both masks are best on a spa night or in the bath. I found both to be a bit messy. I used the Honey Sugar Food Mask at night by applying it all over my face (not the eye area or lip area) then letting it sit for a minute. With WET hands I massaged it in then let sit for about 10 minutes while I soaked it in a hot bath. Remove with a clean, warm, wet cloth. The Black Sugar Mask I used in the shower. Apply evenly and work into the skin with wet hands. Remove with a warm cloth.
Royal Honey Propolis Enrich Essence is the best right after you clean your skin and tone. I applied one pipette into my hands and then press it into the face, neck and décolleté.
Avocado Moisturizer Use a nickel size amount as the last step morning and/or night and massage into the face, neck, and décolleté.
What I Loved?
The scents. I don’t usually like the scent in my skincare but these all smelled delicious. Limited ingredients. The texture of the Avocado Moisturizer is gorgeous. The Royal Honey Propolis Enrich Essence is great if you are looking for GLOWING skin. I was amazed at how well it absorbs and the instant plumping results.
What I Didn’t Love?
The masks and essence were a bit sticky for me. Great for weekend treatments but not for rushing out the door for me.
Would I Repurchase it?
Yes, the Honey Sugar Food Mask was gorgeous and left my skin GLOWING every time I used it. The moisturizer never broke me out and kept my skin hydrated all night. Royal Honey Propolis Enrich Essence the benefits outway the bad for me. The texture irked me but the results wowed me.
Who Is It For?
Avocado Moisturizer – All skin types but acne-prone.
Honey Sugar Food Mask – All skin types for acne or sensitive skin I recommend NOT scrubbing or working it into the skin. Just let it sit on for 5-10 minutes. Honey is naturally antibiotic.
Black Sugar Mask Wash Off– Thick skin and strong skin. I found it a bit abrasive and don’t recommend it for acne or sensitive skin.
