Sephoria 2019 was SO. MUCH. Fun! I drove down Saturday afternoon to attend the private Sephora BIC party for the Beauty Insider community. These weren’t bloggers or influencers but people who LOVE makeup and skincare and talk about it over on the Sephora community boards. It was super fun putting names to faces.

The next morning I woke up super early to attend Session 3 of SEPHORIA 2019. I went with the VIP ticket because after all these years I am a sucker for a good gift bag. This year VIP also got in an hour early plus a private lounge with free drinks. Totally worth it this year.
The extra hour made it so I could get almost 75% of the booths before the big lines started. Since I attended the party the night before I got the scoop on the booths with the best swag, longest lines and fun games. Dr. Dennis Goss was on my list, Drunk Elephant and Charlotte Tilbury. All had big reviews from the girls I met the night before.
The Sephora Beauty Insider community had a awesome booth outside with charging stations and Topo Chico sparkling water. I was so glad because my charger didn’t work in the hotel and I need a few more battery points. The VIP lounge was great if you needed a spot to sit but since I don’t drink
(that early in the morning or before a 6-hour drive home) it didn’t really appeal to me.
This year I thought it would be fun to rank the booths based on my favorites instead of just what they gave out.

Best SEPHORIA Exclusive Merch
I love the customized lipstick from YSL Beauty. The leopard cap was engraved with Liv’s ❤️Mommy. Laneige sleeping mask is so awesome and they had some exclusive flavors to the event. Also, they customized the cap for me. I went with the intention of getting the new Gucci fragrance but it sold out the first session!
Best Fragrance Booths
Gucci is always my fave. They sold out but still had samples so that satisfied me until the new one comes out. Atelier Cologne had a SUPER fun booth and probably the funniest and happiest staff their. Plus, the new fragrance smells like vacation. I plan on getting this for myself for Christmas. Maison Margiela was hilarious. They first took a quick Polaroid by the bookshelf then sent us inside the speakeasy for a surprise. They closed the door and told us to read all the books. I popped open the first and a hand popped out! Scared the heck out of me!! The hand was holding a goody bag full of samples, a scented notepad (probably one the most unique pieces of swag) and a cookie. They are also one of my best swag awards! The notepad makes me remember them daily– more than any sample would.
BEST SWAG
Charlotte Tilbury was really great this year with a fun photo op and the cutest pillow talk makeup bag. Too Face had an ok booth but a cute phone ring that I will actually use and again keeps me thinking of them every time I use it. Lord Jones is a brand I am not familiar with and their booth was stunning. The swag was a great sample collection of their product that I am excited to try out. Drunk Elephant had a super fun booth and a great bit of swag.
Youth to the People was a great booth and I am excited to find out they are clean, and based in Los Angeles. After speaking with the team about my passion for California brands they slipped a few extra samples and even a quick skin consult with their products. I can’t wait to learn more about the brand over the next few months. 
BEST of Show
Herbivore really figured out how to do it all. Not only was their booth stunning but there was a rep there available to explain EVERY product in detail. AND THE SWAG!!! The canvas duck bag would have made me happy but they also gave deluxe travel size samples of 5 of their top products. I can’t wait to dig into these samples and learn more about the brand.
Honorable Mentions
Living Proof had the Creative Director and gave out a two week supply of their haircare set. Deva Curl also gave out a nice gift bag.
SEPHORIA 2019 was just as great this year as last. I felt like more brands were there last year. This year had a strong “CLEAN BEAUTY” vibe. Almost every brand told me they were Sephora clean. Some booths were really fantastic this year but I felt the vibe and location was a lot cooler last year. The VIP was totally worth jumping the lines and charging stations.
I didn’t make it to any beauty services or master classes this year but I heard they were all really great.
