This time of year and —especially this year— GRATITUDE has been a focus of mine.  It seems easy to get wrapped up in everyday life and forget how much we really have.  I know the elections were draining, personal life issues hit us all, and work at times seems never-ending but when we stop to realize a few good things each day life feels brighter.

Handwritten notes are a lost art.  I love receiving them in the mail; it feels like the sender took extra time out of their day to think of me.  To me, notes are the ultimate form of gratitude.  This year at our holiday celebration I am setting up a fun and creative corner in my home.  I am calling it my gratitude corner.  A table, some note cards, and a few sets of the Pilot G2 pens are all that it takes.  I want to encourage my guests to write down a few things or people they are grateful for this year.  Sometimes seeing things on paper helps us realize how real they are.  I want my guests to take home their gratitude and share it all year long!

For the kids try having them write a letter to Santa for all that they are grateful for this year.   You will be surprised by their honesty and humor!  If you don’t have enough room for a whole table try putting a pen at each place setting and a cute bit of card stock for everyone to write on.
