My grandmother taught me to wear SPF every day. No matter what. Rain, sun or fog she would ask if I put SPF on before I left the house. The habit stuck with me. My skin is naturally fair; I don’t really ever tan. I rely on SPF to keep me protected. Hawaiian Tropic was my favorite as a kid. I am really sensitive to scents/perfumes, but the smell of Hawaiian Tropics appeals to me and never gives me any issue. Yesterday, my husband and I had plans to BBQ and do the usual 4th of July events. Sadly, several of his employees called in sick so we ended up spending the day at the dealership, the evening walking Louis and then watching the neighborhood firework show from our living room window. The day turned out great. I knew we would be outdoors for a long period of time so I was happy to get the opportunity to use the Hawaiian Tropic care package I received last week.
Hawaiian Tropic Silky Hydration Weightless Lotion Sunscreen and Sheer Touch After Sun Moisturizer
I used the New Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Weightless Lotion Sunscreen right after my shower in place of any lotion. It features a unique, breathable formula with a light, airsoft texture for protection you barely feel. This lightweight sunscreen is blended with exotic island botanicals and the unmistakable Hawaiian Tropic fragrance. I felt like it moisturized better than many of my body lotions but it didn’t feel heavy or greasy at all. I like that it gave a hydrated look but not shiny or shimmery. The lotion features hydrating ribbons of luxurious silk protein and shea butter provides up to 12 hours of hydration! SPF only lasts 2 hours so I did reapply during the day. I was pleased that the product didn’t feel heavy even during reapplications.
At night I used the Hawaiian Tropic Sheer Touch After Sun Moisturizer before bed. I LOVED this product. It is one of the first after sun lotions that soothes, softens and leaves skin radiant. It wasn’t heavy and absorbs instantly. I felt like I could go straight to bed and wouldn’t stick to the sheets.
