I feel like over my career as an Esthetician I have constantly mentored my clients about not cutting corners with their skincare.  So many would spend a ton of money to get peels or expensive procedures and then not keep up with the results.  I am a big advocate that every person needs a great cleanser, toner, exfoliant, treatment serum, moisturizer, SPF, and Primer!  Now, I know that seems like a lot; the good news is that so many products today are smarter and do double or triple duty.

Primer is one of the steps clients and I seem to skip the most.  It is such an important step.  Honestly, until I was thirty I didn’t realize the importance of it even though I once attended a whole conference just on primers!  Primers not only help makeup set and stay put all day they help keep moisture levels balanced throughout the day.   A good primer is also breathable, has some anti-aging ingredients and light-reflecting properties that help the skin.  Overall, the primer is the final step in a skincare routine and not one to be skipped!

I am so excited to share my new find from Olay!  The Olay Regenerist Whips.  I just want to say I was skeptical about this product.  Everyone was raving about it but I thought no way would this work for my skin.  It felt too light to the touch to last all day.  I was magically surprised.  The formula is the lightest I have ever felt.  It absorbs instantly and leaves my skin super soft.  Technically, the Olay Regenerist Whips is a moisturizer but it also doubles as a primer.

Products that do two or more steps are my favorite.  I seem to always be in a rush in the morning so if I can combine a step I love it.  I hate having to wait for my skincare to absorb before I can put my makeup on.  The Olay Regenerist Whips have made my makeup routine easier and quicker.  Just apply and instantly start makeup.  My makeup goes on smoothly without clumping.  But, my favorite part about the Whips is the anti-aging benefits of the amino-peptide complex II.  It helps cell turnover and improves the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and firmness.  I so need that right now.

Overall, I am just so impressed by the results of the Whips.  My skin is radiant all day, my makeup lasts all day and my skin still feels hydrated by the end of the day!  I get why they call it the unicorn of moisturizers.
