Olivia turned 2! I had a big toddler birthday party planned and then Covid-19 happened and that was all scraped. I still wanted her to feel special so I wracked my brain to think of a fun way to celebrate her birthday just the three of us. I kept coming back to rainbows and Dorothy’s “No Place Like Home…” kept popping up. That was all it took!
No Place Like Home Toddler Birthday
I ordered this balloon arch from a local company Poptopia.Balloons on Instagram. When she first saw it she cheered! It was an instant hit.
Next up, I ordered a bunch of fun rainbow pieces from Coterie Party and made matching rice krispy treats to match. I grabbed a big pre-made sheet at my grocery store, punched out hearts with a cookie cutter, and piped them with these frosting pouches to make it super quick and easy. The sugar cookies were from this shop on Etsy. They were delicious!
I baked Olivia’s cake from this set at Williams-Sonoma. It was REALLY sweet so I recommend popping some lemon extract or zest into the cake batter. Olivia loves sprinkles and was so excited when she saw them spill out of the cake.
Somehow even her gifts were rainbow coordinated!
She had a great day and that is all I can really hope for. I know she felt loved and special!
