Shelter in place is still going strong here in Monterey and I am constantly looking for things to do with Olivia. She is so bored and to be honest, so am I. When a new local business, Picnic by the Sea Monterey, popped up offering to host a picnic I wasn’t really sure what to expect for our mommy and me day. We ended up having a blast!

Marlon and Chynna, the owners of Picnic by the Sea Monterey, are adorable and created a magical experience for us right in our home! After figuring out a date weeks ago the day came to set up our Mommy and Me picnic— and with it came RAIN! I was panicked but Picnic by the Sea Monterey Dm’d me with a “No problem, let’s do it inside!” Again I hesitated but the experience was perfect.

Setting up a Mommy and Me Picnic Indoors

After moving all my dining furniture they set up the picnic. We had the RUSTIC BOHO with the Boujee package. I laughed at the names! It included a chic table setup, pillows, blankets, games, a Charcuterie plate, and sparkling juice for Olivia! As soon as Olivia came down the stairs she started gathering up her dolls to bring along. She is all about tea parties right now!

It was such a fun surprise for Olvia. Her favorite game is connect four and the giant board Picnic by the Sea Monterey brought was epic. We tried Jenga and cards that came with our setup but Olivia was all about the connect four board. “CHEERS” was also a big hit. Olivia LOVED the sparkling juice and using grownup champagne flutes. I was surprised at how gentle she was.

Mommy and Me Fun With Picnic by the Sea Monterey

I highly recommend adding the Boujee package. The charcuterie board was delicious and perfect for a toddler to eat. Next time I would bring little finger sandwiches and veggies, too. I could totally see us doing this in the backyard or at a local beach. The picnic set up is perfect to celebrate an anniversary or birthday or just catch up with girlfriends over wine and cheese! I wish I knew about it a few months ago when my sister celebrated a big birthday.

Do you know if they travel to Gilroy or Morgan Hill? This sounds perfect for my Sister’s 30th birthday.
