Last month I attended the #IFABBOconSF blogger #bblogger beauty blogger convention. There I was introduced officially to the Dermalogica Face Mapping and products. After a quick 5 minute consult (face mapping,) I was recommended this dermal clay cleanser and a few other products. I was super excited to get home and try it. My Esthetician recommended that I apply it and let is set a few minutes prior to my shower or let is set while taking a bath. After a few minutes, she recommended applying a bit of water until it foams and remove with a warm cloth. So that is exactly what I did.
A quarter size amount is all that is needed; it is thick and a small bit goes a long way. The menthol is refreshing and oddly soothing. The clay clears up excess oil without that yucky tight or squeaky feeling. The dermal clay cleanser also contains cucumber extract so it hydrates as well.
My skin felt smoother and my acne was kept completely under control. The icy menthol is the best part about the mask. It gives it a luxury and treatment feel. I only used it at night when I had time to let it set for a bit. I still have quite a bit left; at least 3/4 of a bottle. Overall I really enjoy it and can’t wait to try more from the line.
