This is probably the most exciting press sample I have ever received! After a few months of stalking the FOREO ISSA™ Revolutionary Electric Toothbrush and Foreo LUNA at Sephora, I was stoked to receive one to try. I was attracted to it because I am an over and aggressive brusher and the ISSA promises to solve this problem.
The Technical Stuff
The ISSA is made of super soft and hygienic silicone! So you can’t overbrush your gums. Also, it is not porous and so doesn’t hold on to germs like a traditional bristle toothbrush. The brush head only needs to be replaced once every 6 months instead of every 3 months. But, I love that it only needs a change once every 6 months also! It is completely waterproof so I keep it in the shower and you can use any toothpaste with it. The brush reminds users to brush a new quadrant of the mouth every 30 seconds and signals when a two-minute brushing routine is completed. It was super easy to travel with and comes with a nice travel pouch.
My Thoughts
It did take me a bit to get used to it. The ISSA is super gentle and it took me a bit to resist the urge to really scrub. But, because it has eight-speed I was able to find one that didn’t overstress my gums but still made me feel like I was getting a good clean. I did find myself using a traditional toothbrush a few times when I ate popcorn or broccoli to get a deep scrub. But, overall I really love the ISSA. I ended up buying one for my husband so he wouldn’t steal mine. He just saw his dentist who said his gums were in way better shape than normal!

I use only electric toothbrushes for me and my kids. I had never heard of this brand before. I love the design of this toothbrush!
This was intriguing, because like you I have the tendency to over bush! I have switched to a soft bush hoping it will be less stress on my gums but will have to check this out. Thanks for this review, I would not have even heard of this product had you not written this!
