Old Town Salinas is a spot I don’t get over to often and yet it has such a deep and rich history. Steinbeck found inspiration in the area and every building holds a story! I love that the area is getting a much-needed influx of new businesses, restaurants, and housing. Last weekend I had the opportunity to visit an express spa in the area. Express Facial bar called Flawless Facial Bar. I haven’t had too many express experiences so I was super intrigued to see if I could reach the same results of a traditional facial.
When I walked in the area was light and had a cool reclaimed wood vibe. I loved the light coming in the window and the way the wood glowed. It gave such a relaxing vibe. Three stations were set up and a small private room in the back for LED light therapy. Flawless Facial Bar uses Farmhouse Fresh products in all of their treatments and retail. It is a brand I had experience with back in the day but not in skincare.
I met Liz–the owner and my esthetician for the day–right as I was walking in. She gave me a warm lavender neck wrap, a mini-tour and explained their express concept. It sounded too good to be true! 30-minute treatments that were customized to the individual’s skin that leaves a fresh look and ready to go about your day. We sat down and talked about how my skin is super dry but that I break out a lot right now since I just had a baby. She then went to grab a few products that she said would be perfect for my skin.
The Treatment
The first step started with the Farmhouse Fresh New Groove face wash with hemp. It had a tingly and fresh feeling that I really enjoyed. Followed by the One Fine Day scrub, Peat Calming Mask paired with under-eye patch masks, Wine Me Down Serum and Crow Catcher eye cream. Liz surprised me by getting a whole facial in 30 minutes. I LOVED the mask– I saw instant results and for two days after my skin looked flawless. The products all smelled great, felt great and left my skin glowing. I really enjoyed them. I took home the cleanser, a probiotic mask, agave nectar body oil that can double as a pre-cleanse and Tizo3 tinted SPF.
After the facial, I tried out acne LED Therapy treatment that put me right to sleep! When I first saw it I was a little worried it would feel claustrophobic but it was so cozy and comforting I drifted right off. We finished the day with a little Jane Iredale makeup and a nice glass of water.
My Thoughts on Flawless Facial Bar Salinas
Overall, the experience left me impressed. The treatment while quick didn’t feel rushed. The results were real and long-lasting. The products were rich and dreamy but delivered results. This is a place I would go monthly! And, I am glad they are so close to home so I can.
It is the perfect spot for bridal shower parties they have some awesome packages for that or little girl pamper parties or to zip into on the way to or from work for a pick me up glow. They also have monthly membership options and cool gift ideas perfect for the upcoming holidays!
