Creating Family Memories:
Family dinners were one of my favorite family memories as a kid. It was the one time a day we were all together. I want to continue that tradition with Olivia. Who knew it was so hard!? My husband is a total work-a-holic, I run two businesses and take care of Oliva with help from my Mother-in-law one day a week. It is tough to cook dinner let alone get things set up and grocery shopping is a CHORE with a baby.
If you’ve read my blog for a while now you’ve seen me post about Plated before but we got a delivery earlier this week and the recipe was such a hit so I wanted to share it with all of you – especially you mamas who have a new baby and find it hard to cook a good meal, grocery shop and take care of your new little one! On the menu was Beef and Grape Tomato Ragù over Summer Squash Noodles. We love pasta and I really love squash so I thought this recipe would be perfect for the whole family. It was super tasty and filling plus really simple to make. I paired it with some field greens and bread I had leftover in the fridge!
With these warm Summer months coming to an end we started having dinner outside. I love creating a chic vacation-like vibe and creating family memories. I set up the table like when we were in Italy and we enjoyed our Plated meal out by the pool. Olivia fell asleep just as we were sitting down so I popped her in the crib and grabbed the baby monitor. It was so nice to have a quiet meal and chat about our day. We were able to enjoy a fun date night and didn’t even need to hire a sitter! If you are headed out on holiday just have your Plated delivery sent to your Airbnb or vacation home! It is so easy; we have totally done it before and loved eating in instead of going out every night.
I know we all know how much I LOVE meal delivery services; I have tried every brand on the market. My original love started with PLATED way back in like 2011 or 2012 I don’t even remember now! It really started my love for cooking. I was off at college and tired of walking half a mile to get some crap fast food. Plated popped up on Google or Facebook and I decided to try it. I even had to go out and buy pans and utensils! Fast forward several years and I am still one of their biggest fans. Now that I am a Mom Plated makes meals even simpler. I don’t know what I would do without it. It eliminates the need to plan my dinners for the week, go grocery shopping, and still allows us to have a yummy home-cooked meal together!
Plated has now shut down but here are some great Plated alternatives to consider.
