The other day I had to jump on a Zoom call and Olivia was not into watching TV or playing in her room. I had to think up an activity quickly. Lately, Olivia is into sorting things. By color or shape or texture I never know what she is going to do. I grabbed these empty Littlespoon (Use code LS-DORAN for $20 off your first order) packages I cleaned out the night before and some construction paper to create one of my new favorite activities for toddlers at home.

Make sure the containers are clean and dried.

Trace the bottom of the tub onto a piece of colored construction paper. I knew I had buttons and pom-poms from another project we did so I matched the paper to those colors. Cut out the rectangle and tape to the bottom of the tubs.

Next, I filled this acrylic tray with various items that matched the colors in the tubs. Then I just let her go for it. It kept her entertained long after I was off the call!

In all this took about 6 minutes to make and she loved it.

Let me know in the comments if you try it out or if you have other ideas to keep a toddler entertained while working from home or on a zoom call.

Thank you to Littlespoon for sending over more babyblends for us to enjoy! Check out more ways we use them here and here.
