I finally made it to Oxford!!! Exhausted and tired I walked in circles (with four heavy bags) before I finally found my hotel.  Introducing the Vanbrugh House Hotel!  I accidentally booked what looked like the honeymoon suite, but so glad I did.  What a great room and space.   Great bathtub with a built in tv to catch up on UK tv and Christmas specials.

The room was called the Vicarage Suite.

They had a great welcome basket full of crisps, biscuits, a diet coke, regular coke, a few candy bars, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, waters, and milk.

English breakfast was included.  There was a small charge to have it delivered to the room.

The room was really great.  The bed was very comfortable, the food was delicious, and the welcome basket was perfect for when I woke up in the middle of the night starving.  I loved the double bath, this is probably one of the most romantic rooms I have ever been in.  Oddly, all by myself.  The bathroom floor was heated and a really nice touch.  I wasn’t a fan of the shower, it made a mess and I felt the need to clean it all up before sleeping.  I also loved the patio, sadly it was raining hard or I would have hung out there more.  The location was awesome just one street away from George St. and High St. so shopping and restaurants were plenty.
