5 Best Face Scrubs

Nothing makes me feel all glowy and fresh like a good face scrub.  I don’t use them often and prefer to use a chemical (AHA/BHA) exfoliator instead.  But, when I have an event to go to a good scrub is my party prep ritual!

For sensitive skin, I like a soft scrub like Tatcha Polished.  This gentle exfoliating enzyme powder leaves skin glowy without all the inflammation a rougher scrub can result in.  Elemis gentle rose exfoliator is another one that is awesome.  This is gentle enough to use multiple times a week.

For Acne skin, I recommending skipping a manual scrub and use an exfoliating mask + AHA toner combo instead.

For combo/thicker skin, Kate Somerville Exfolikate is AH-MAZING!! A blend of AHA and scrub gives this product an extra boost.  Same with the Jan Marini Holiday Exfoliator.  It comes out every December with a holiday scent.  AHA and jojoba beads make it gentle but effective.  I like to apply it a little thick, let it sit for a minute and then rinse/scrub with super wet hands for a good peel.

Combo/thin skin, again the Jan Marini peel (use code 093623 for a discount) works great.  The Grown Alchemist grapefruit scrub is awesome.  It is a gentle blend of acid and scrubs gentle enough to use daily.  Ole Henriksen sauna scrub is one of my faves during the winter.  My skin gets a bit clogged and this warming scrub is just the thing to clear it up quick!
